Made with an artist’s passion.

I began my journey with jewelry making when I was 9. My mother had re-kindled her love for jewelry making and I wanted to learn how she did it. When I was 11, we decided to try to sell my pieces at the local art fairs. I had the opportunity to sell at two summer fairs in the Chicago Northshore. With those two fairs, I met two amazing women, one being a goldsmith, the other a silversmith.

The silversmith gave me pearls, to elevate my pieces, as well as the confidence to value my pieces as the work of an artist, not just that of a child. I have seen her every year at that same fair, where we share ideas, and what we are working on at that time.

The goldsmith introduced me to classes given at a local art center focusing on soldering metal and setting stones. Those lessons gave me a new perspective on how hard jewelers worked, as well as how I could convert those techniques to wire.

As I have for the past 3 years, I will be donating 20% of all sales to local nonprofits, as well as the Child Life Services at Amita Health’s Women and Children’s Hospital in Hoffman Estates, IL.

I hope you enjoy the fruits of my journey,

Ananya
